Chef Blank:
As a Philly transplant to the "Left Coast" not a trip to Philly (frequent) does not include my sadness that Deux Cheminees is no longer open for Foodies of the World to enjoy your culinary fare!
Related to an Investment Banking assignment and a "break thru" Crab Product being introduced by Crown Harbor Seafood (Dutch Harbor, AK..."World's Deadliest Catch" etc.) we are hosting an intimate but "working" event tomorrow evening at the new Philadelphia Kitchen Share.
You may be "across the pond" or "out of pocket" but if in Philly, we would be very honored, if not "informed" if you could participate in our outing...
Please e-mail to my Board provided e-mail if you can join us!
Thanks so much!
Tom
PS- I count myself as one of many who have proposed Marriage at Deux Cheminees, who's marriage is still very much in tact!

Unfortunately I rarely get back to the USA these days. My next scheduled visit to Philadelphia is a command appearance at The Annenberg Rare Book and Manuscript Library at The University of Pennsylvania where I shall give a lecture and attend a dinner or two. The proposed dates and planned activities of my visit are yet to be set in stone, but will probably occur in early November 2009. I shall make an announcement via this Blog including the proposed events just as soon as Penn lets me know.
Thank you for your interest.
PS and BTW I am fine and slowly working on editing and organizing my recipes and notes regarding matters gastronomique into Book, Chapter and Verse with hopes of eventually publishing a cookbook or two! . P.S. What is this new Philadelphia Share Kitchen, and where is it located? |

Also I am always very cautious, if not dubious regarding "new" products which supposedly replace genuine natural products. What exactly is this "new crab product"? I have always used fresh locally caught Jumbo Lump Crab Meat which I purchased daily from local seafood purveyors. Would you send to me information regarding this new "product" including why I should use it in lieu of genuine fresh Jumbo Crab Meat. |
